Business Analyst

Job description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experience software professional to join our client who is a software specialist that delivers a global risk management solution enabling insurance organisations to produce consistent risk data insights for risk pricing and selection.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Acting as a customer proxy for the development team during the development cycle of specific products and features
  • Analysing the new requirements from our clients and translating into functional specifications for application developers
  • Evolving user stories through development reviews
  • Develop an extensive knowledge of the core products and applications
  • Support the Product Manager in aligning core customer requirements with the published productroadmap:
    • Developing mock ups
    • Creation of test plans to support user stories
    • Defining functional and technical requirements
    • Liaising with the project teams to produce estimates for any customisation requirements
  • Establish effective working relationships with the project team
  • Facilitate client workshops, identifying and clarifying requirements
  • Customer satisfaction: at all times, keeping the client at the centre of what we do and making sure that client satisfaction is maintained so that they remain a client and act as an advocate for our product



Marketing:

  • Working closely with marketing and operations to define and deliver the go-to-market strategy, product positioning, key benefits and target clients
  • Contributing to marketing activity such as writing content for collateral, website, blog, social media and so on
  • Attending seminars / research focus groups



Market Research & Pre-Sales:

  • Keeping abreast of changes in competitors' offerings and in client needs
  • Working with the product team to define product demos to make them slick and appropriate
  • Refining demo process flows (which vary per audience) to highlight the product as its best



Requirements:

  • Excellent research and analytical skills
  • In-depth knowledge of data modelling techniques
  • Ability to turn complex concepts into simple language
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience of working with technical teams
  • An understanding and comprehensive knowledge of the general insurance market is highly desirable
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of the Agile methodology and experience of using JIRA/Trello is an advantage
