Claims Handler

Job description

Our client is a leading insurance company, providing a range of insurance products to businesses across the UK. They are currently seeking an experienced Claims Handler to join their team in Paisley.

As a Claims Handler, you will be responsible for managing claims from notification through to settlement. You will be responsible for investigating and processing claims, negotiating settlements, and ensuring that claims are handled in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigating and processing claims
  • Negotiating settlements with clients, claimants and insurers
  • Liaising with clients, brokers and insurers
  • Providing advice and guidance to clients and claimants
  • Ensuring that all claims are handled in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Keeping up-to-date with changes in insurance law and policy

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a claims handling role
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines
  • Good IT skills
