Client Adviser (SME)
Job description
A leading insurance brokerage is seeking a Client Adviser to join its expanding SME team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a first-class, end-to-end service to SME clients, ensuring each interaction is handled with professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a high-quality, proactive service to existing and prospective SME clients.
- Manage the full broking process including new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments.
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams, including Claims and Broking, to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Negotiate with insurers to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
- Ensure compliance with all operational standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate client records and manage invoicing using internal systems.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities and refer leads to the appropriate internal teams.
- Commit to personal development and maintain relevant Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Qualifications:
- Cert CII qualified or working towards.
Experience:
- Strong technical knowledge of commercial insurance.
- Proven experience delivering exceptional service in a client-facing role.
Skills:
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and administrative capabilities.
- Confident in using Microsoft Office, Outlook, and insurance software (experience with Acturis is an advantage).
- Good understanding of broking processes and FCA compliance standards.
