We are working closely with a fast growing MGA in the Manchester Insurance market as they are looking to find their next Underwriter BUT are open on experience and will consider Commercial Insurance Professionals currently at a Broker!

Of course if you have underwriting experience that'd be amazing, however as long as you have Property, Liability and Commercial Package Insurance experience as an Account Handler/Broker this firm would love to hear from you.

Part of a larger, regional Broking business as a Commercial Underwriter you will be involved in both new business and renewals

You will have the opportunity to underwrite commercial business (Property, Casualty) with premiums ranging from £5,000 - £15,000 GWP typically. You'll enjoy a fast paced, busy environment as there's generally approx. 60 - 100 enquiries coming through from Brokers a day.

Seems a lot, but you'll receive on site training to get you to where you need to be.

You'll enjoy working in a 'family feel' environment, currently 13 employees in the business who all get along inside and outside of work.

As you will be joining a smaller, more progressive MGA, you will receive far greater underwriting autonomy compared to working for a large corporate.

A long established and successful underwriting business who focus on delivering a high quality service for their Partner Brokers.

You will be responsible for a dedicated case load of commercial lines renewal cases. Underwriting a range of commercial line cases at renewal and MTA stage across commercial property, liability and combined lines of business.

Based in Stalybridge, East Manchester you'll have transport links into the City as well as access to on road-parking.

On offer is a salary up to £35,000 + bonus and you'll enjoy a comprehensive benefits package. Most importantly, you'll have a genuine opportunity to progress your career & financial earnings as the business expands.
