Corporate Insurance Lawyer 2-4 PQE

A US law firm, are seeking to hire a Corporate Insurance Lawyer to join their pre-eminent transactions group in the firms London office.

As part of the role, you will advise leading corporations and private equity sponsors on a wide range of insurance coverage and risk management issues, playing a critical role in complex transactions. This is an exceptional opportunity for a Lawyer with a strong insurance background to develop a rewarding career at a world-class law firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients (insurance and reinsurance companies and their Financial Advisors and Underwriters) in a wide variety of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, reinsurances, portfolio transfers, public and private financings, regulatory advisory work, restructurings and reorganisations

  • Provides a broad range of regulatory advice to insurance and reinsurance companies, sponsors, investment banks and other non-insurance companies entities

  • Draft and negotiate complex insurance provisions in transaction agreements, such as representations and warranties carve-outs and limitations on liability


Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in a leading corporate insurance practice or a relevant in-house legal department

  • In-depth knowledge of corporate insurance policies, coverage issues, and claims handling procedures

  • Strong understanding of mergers and acquisitions transactions and the role of insurance in such deals
