Job description
A leading international law firm is seeking a high-calibre Corporate Insurance Lawyer to join its well-established and highly regarded corporate insurance practice. The successful candidate will work almost exclusively on transactions in the insurance sector, advising on a wide range of complex and high-profile matters across Europe and beyond.
The practice covers the full spectrum of corporate insurance work, including public and private M&A, Part VII transfers, cross-border transactions, portfolio acquisitions and specialist deals such as renewal rights and reinsurance arrangements. The team also advises on corporate governance matters, listed company issues and equity capital markets transactions.
Clients span all major insurance segments, including life and general insurance, Lloyd's market participants, and run-off and consolidation businesses. The team also has strong experience advising on emerging InsurTech collaborations and innovative insurance-related business models.
Lawyers are supported by a deep bench of industry and regulatory expertise, enabling clients to navigate complex due diligence exercises and regulatory approval processes with confidence. The practice operates on a genuinely international platform, working collaboratively across multiple jurisdictions.
The firm is at the forefront of developments shaping the insurance industry, including technological innovation and digital distribution, data protection and cyber risk, sanctions, cross-border regulatory change, healthcare and pensions reform, and wider ESG considerations.
The firm is keen to speak with first-rate Corporate Insurance lawyers with between three and seven years' post-qualification experience (or equivalent). Experience gained at a top-tier or well-regarded international firm is preferred, along with a strong academic background (minimum 2:1 degree), excellent drafting and technical skills, and a commercial, client-focused mindset.
The successful candidate will be a strong team player, capable of building trusted relationships with both clients and colleagues, and will be seeking a long-term opportunity within a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing international practice.
