Are you a driven Corporate Lawyer looking to take the next big step in your career? A top-tier UK law firm with a well-established, award-winning corporate team is seeking an experienced Director or Partner to join its Sheffield office and play a pivotal role in driving future growth.
About the Corporate Team
Join a highly respected corporate law team of over 70 lawyers across multiple UK locations, known for advising a diverse client base from entrepreneurs and SMEs to FTSE 100 companies. The team specialises in mergers & acquisitions (M&A), disposals, fundraising, private equity, equity capital markets, due diligence, joint ventures, shareholder agreements, corporate restructurings, demergers, and governance.
The Sheffield office boasts recognised legal experts with strong local and national reputations, acting for clients across manufacturing, tech, engineering, university spin-outs, and multinational sectors.
Role Overview
As a Director or Partner, you will:
- Lead complex corporate transactions including M&A, shareholder agreements, and private equity deals
- Drive business development and strategic growth initiatives for the Sheffield corporate team
- Collaborate seamlessly with colleagues across the firm's offices
- Provide leadership and mentorship to nurture junior and mid-level lawyers
- Manage and develop client relationships with an entrepreneurial mindset
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified solicitor or equivalent with 7+ years PQE in corporate law
- Strong track record in corporate transactions including M&A, joint ventures, fundraising, and restructurings
- Proven business development experience, ideally with an existing client following or a clear growth strategy
- Excellent leadership, communication and team-working skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple locations and practice areas
