Court of Protection Partner

Job description

Our client is a leading law firm with a successful and long-standing Reading office.

They are now looking to bolster their Private Client team with the appointment of an experienced Court of Protection Partner.

This top Private Client team works on a full range of matters protecting and managing the affairs of those with mental incapacity. As a Court of Protection Partner you will combine strong technical legal experience, with excellent client relationship management and leadership skills. The team is highly regarded, dealing with a wide variety of matters including applications for statutory Wills as wells as managing financial affairs and set up of personal care arrangements. Further expertise covering:-

Provision of Court of Protection deputyship support

  • Managing the affairs for a number of individuals under registered EPAs and LPAs

  • Preparation and submission of non-contentious COP applications

  • Drafting statutory will and codicil applications

  • Providing advice on care fee planning

  • Providing advice on any DWP benefits which may be applicable to the client base


The ideal candidate will be an experienced CoP Partner or someone operating at Senior/Principal Associate or Legal Director level and with aspirations to step into a partner level role. This is a fine role offering an excellent platform for career advancement.
