Data Protection Senior Lawyer

A Global law firm who employs over 2000 Lawyers worldwide who is not only highly ranked in the legal directories but a leading firm for a number of current buoyant client sectors. The firm has seen significant growth year on year and continued to grow even during the pandemic with a number of additional hires for both Partners and Associates.

Due to continued success in the Data Privacy team, our client is seeking a Legal Director to join the Dubai practice. The team advise clients across a varied client sector on a full range of data protection issues. Matters have included complex data sharing arrangements, outsourced data protection compliance reviews, responding to ICO investigations and designing data protection frameworks.

You will have gained around 6 + years PQE - (no upper limit) within a comparable firm with a focus on Data Privacy making up at least 70% of your work if coming from a Commercial Tech or Employment practice.

You will be a self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of the wider team. You will mentor and support junior members of the team as well as work closely with the partners and the group. You will also lead on your own projects as well as participate in business development and client networking events.
