Financial Controller

IDEX are proud to represent an international law firm who are looking for a Financial Controller to join their Frankfurt office. The firm launched their Frankfurt office in early 2023 and have been rapidly expanding ever since with further growth planned in 2024.

They are looking for an experienced financial controller to come on board and lead the finance division which includes management of 2 individuals.

You will be responsible for establishing and implementing internal control policies and procedures, as well as delivering month end reports.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a thorough understanding of regulatory and statutory reporting obligations, cash management and experience maintaining the sales and purchase ledger.

You will also need to have strong leadership skills and be able to inspire and nurture the team around you - you will drive change and improve current processes.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

  • Qualified Wirtschaftsprüfer (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or local equivalent.

  • Highly numerate with excellent analytical and financial modelling skills.

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written German and English.

  • Previous experience in overseeing a whole finance department or having worked in the various departments.

  • Role is full-time, based in Frankfurt with travel to UK.
