Job description

My client is a successful chartered wealth management firm in Cheshire that looks after UHNW clients.

A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced UHNW Financial Planner to join them and take over a book of 30 clients which generates £40m.

THE ROLE

  • To provide financial planning and investment management advice to new and existing clients, while at all times upholding the principles and values of the firm.
  • To actively contribute to the continued growth of the firm by meeting and exceeding agreed financial targets.
  • Advising Private Clients
  • Deliver the firms service proposition, while adhering to the FCA rules as outlined in the firm's compliance procedures
  • Review existing client circumstances as part of the Annual Planning Meeting and ongoing review process.
  • Help clients with any issues that arise on an ongoing basis.
  • Assist, as directed from time to time by the Board, with the development and maintenance of appropriate business relationships with professional introducers.
  • Agree a business development plan to achieve personal and firm-wide goals and key performance indicators.
  • Implement this plan by partnering with accountants/solicitors and working with them to promote the firm and ultimately obtain leads, bringing any existing clients (where these meet the firms typical client profile and no other barriers exist) to the firm and working with existing clients of the firm to generate additional referrals.


You…

  • Chartered (or close to) and able to demonstrate practical application of technical knowledge.
  • Experience working with high net worth (investable assets in excess of £1m) private clients, delivering comprehensive financial planning and investment management services, with a demonstrable track record of winning new clients and existing client retention/satisfaction.
  • Sound understanding of the typical challenges and opportunities encountered by successful individuals (often business owners) and how these can be addressed via the practical application of financial planning and investment management principles.
  • Able to analyse and interpret quantitative and qualitative data in order to create a suitable strategy for the client, to meet identified challenges or opportunities.
  • Excellent presentation skills, communicating solutions effectively to clients and technical subjects to fellow professionals.
  • Experience of and ability to use a variety of software (i.e. MS Office, Curo, Voyant, FE Analytics, Dynamic Planner etc…)
  • Comfortable working on own initiative, setting and managing personal goals, directing workflow of individual advice team, and managing deadlines.
