Financial Planner - Associate Director

A high-profile, leading National Wealth Management firm, are seeking to appoint a Senior Financial Planner to their Yorkshire-based team. This business has an excellent, long-standing reputation for providing discretionary investment and financial planning to mass-affluent and HNW clients across the UK, and are seeking to grow the team.

Your core responsibilities will be to take over a base of HNW clients and collaborate with a high-performing team of Investment Managers to aid in nurturing existing relationships. Part of your role will work closely with a designated BDM across the region, to drive growth of new prospective opportunities, amongst professional connections and networking events.

You will provide full-suite, holistic Financial Planning advice, across Pensions, Protection, Investments, and structured products, alongside IHT Planning to a wide-ranging client demographics, but with a focus on HNW consulting.

What would enable your success in role:

  • Track record of writing quality fee-based business amongst HNW (£500K-£1M+) clients
  • Desire to challenge yourself and your technical skills
  • Able to work closely with internal colleagues and professional connections to drive positive and professional client outcomes
  • Collaborative and able to operate closely Investment Management teams to enable clients to leverage a best-in-class discretionary offering
  • Established and confident in your client-facing networking and business development skills
  • Scope of a client following is desirable but not essential
  • Chartered status is desirable but not completely essential
