Group Income and Reconciliations Manager

Job description

My client in Newcastle currently requires a highly motivated individual with a friendly and confident manner to take on the role of Group Income and Reconciliation Manager. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with the ability to develop relationships. The successful candidate will provide support and assistance to the Group Financial Controller in processing data, reconciling bank accounts, and generating reporting information.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and leading a team within the Income Reconciliation / Renumeration unit to support the business needs
  • Training and development, and projects
  • Monitoring and managing Debtors and Creditors
  • Process daily statements reconciling bank accounts
  • Liaising with platform providers, Discretionary Fund Managers, and vendors
  • Calculate and invoice Adviser charges for the Group
  • Complete month-end reporting and analysis for the accounts team
  • Back-office support
  • Monitoring and review of departmental needs and requirements
  • Carrying out any other ad hoc duties


Experience & key requirements:

  • Managerial experience or office management experience
  • Excellent planning, organisational and multi-tasking abilities are essential
  • Ability to liaise with external providers and vendors in meeting or call at a senior level
  • The role requires a reliable individual who can manage and prioritise workloads
  • Experience working in a Financial Advice firm is advantageous
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • A team player with a positive attitude
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working as part of a team and able to work remotely with colleagues often in virtual environments such as Microsoft Teams
  • Possess high levels of attention to detail
  • Experience in training recruiting and appraising staff
  • It would be beneficial if the candidate had some knowledge of as well as Income reconciliation process
  • While not a requirement, it would be beneficial to have AAT qualification or going through CIMA/ACCA pathway
