A successfully growing Lloyd's insurance Broker, with offices in London and Europe has created a new role for a Head of Broking to run their open market wholesale insurance portfolio and team.
The business operates across Europe and mainly focuses on Casualty insurance lines of business including Professional Indemnity, General Liability, Medical Malpractice and Directors and Officers Liability. Service to Brokers and MGAs is paramount and ensuring the best possible turn around on quotes.
The Head of Broking will initially be responsible for a team of 2 Placing Placing Brokers, though the plan is to grow this in the near future. The main focus of the role will be building relationships with key accounts, managing the high level of incoming enquiries and providing a slick, professional and efficient open market broking service. The appointed individual will be very hands on in placing business in the Lloyd's, London and international insurance markets, as well as looking at ways to grow the book and assisting in the recruitment process.
Experience in the Casualty/ PI Lloyd's insurance broking market is essential to be considered for this role, along with a strong network of underwriting contacts who focus on international insurance markets. Senior Brokers with an aspiration to manage will be considered, alongside seasoned leaders; providing they can demonstrate clear leadership skills. European language skills would be a bonus.
