Head of Medical Malpractice

Job description

IDEX have been retained by a highly-respected National Broker, in the search for an individual to play a key role in enhancing their Healthcare offering and driving the growth of the division.

This Broker has a well-established portfolio of Healthcare business, with many long-standing and expanding clients. They now wish to capitalise on this esteemed reputation and put in place a robust growth strategy, whilst maintaining a high level of service to their existing clients.

The Senior Broker will be expected to analyse the current book of business and Insurer markets, consider other potential markets and identify opportunities for growth. They will also contribute to the effective people management of the division.

The current appetite is mainly UK retail (and affinity) business, but as a Lloyd's Broker, the team have ambitions to expand into international wholesale business, therefore experience in this area would be valuable.

This is a newly created role, so to a certain extent can be shaped around the right individual, providing they have:

  • Medical Malpractice knowledge (and/ or Casualty/ PI)
  • Leadership skills
  • Proven client-facing experience
  • Tenacity and drive
  • Confident business acumen
  • A strategic mindset
