As the Head of Middle Market, you will bring to the table a strong background in Commercial underwriting across diverse classes such as Property and Casualty, Financial Lines, Cyber, and more. Leveraging your expertise, you will develop and implement innovative strategies to capture new opportunities, mitigate risks, and drive sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, grow and inspire a team of talented professionals to achieve strategic objectives and exceed performance targets.
  • Develop and implement innovative business strategies to capture new opportunities and strengthen our market position.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and other key stakeholders to drive business development and retention efforts, particularly within the Manchester and Northern regions.
  • Utilize your strong broker connectivity within the Manchester and Northern regions to enhance market penetration and drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to streamline processes, optimize resources, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in a leadership role within the insurance industry, with specific expertise in Commercial underwriting across classes such as Property and Casualty, Financial Lines, Cyber, and more.
  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute effective business plans and initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals and deliver exceptional results.
