My client is currently looking for an experienced Financial Planner to join their business in Preston. This is an exciting role with a large client bank to inherit.

By joining this business as a Financial Planner you play an integral part in an independent financial advice and fund management group. Responsibilities

  • Meet with clients to gain a deep understanding of their current financial position and future plans, and develop compelling, long-lasting relationships
  • Work collaboratively with Paraplanners, support staff, line managers and other parts of the business, in order to deliver high quality advisory services to clients
  • To be involved with high-net-worth individuals from investments, pensions, and trust planning
  • Research financial products and explain details of products so that clients can make informed choices
  • Prepare clear recommendations to clients as and when required
  • Use existing network to identify new opportunities and develop relationships with professional introducers and intermediaries
  • Negotiate with providers of financial products where appropriate
  • Keep clients regularly updated about their investments
  • Actively seek new areas of business and keeping Management informed of new opportunities
  • Actively build on existing client base, looking for opportunities for referrals


Requirements

  • Must be level 4 qualified (DipPFS/DipFA/CISI Level 4 Diploma with Financial Advice)
  • Ideally Chartered (Adv.DipFA/APFS/Level 6 CISI) or working towards
  • Must be fully qualified to deliver investment and pensions advice with experience in a similar role
  • Experience of using Intelligent Office (IO) would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to communicate with colleagues and clients at all levels
  • Self-motivated, with an ability to work and think under own initiative
  • Have an excellent entrepreneurial attitude and business development skills
