IFA Administrator

Job description

My client is a chartered financial planning business in central Manchester. They are looking for an experienced IFA Administrator to provide one to one support for selected Advisers within the firm.

The role

  • Processing new business applications
  • Processing fund switches, surrenders, income and investment withdrawals
  • Product and fund research for new investments and top ups, using systems such as Adviser Asset and FE Analytics
  • Obtaining all pre-sale documentation including quotations
  • Acting as a point of contact for clients
  • Collating information from product providers on clients existing arrangements
  • Preparing valuation reports
  • Servicing requests
  • Writing advice and execution only letters
  • Support and train other Adviser support and administration staff
  • All tasks under Administrator role
  • Adhere to the FCA's Conduct Rule

About You

  • Confident IT skills with MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent understanding of pensions, investments and protection products
  • Excellent understanding of providers and platforms such as Standard Life, AJ Bell, Aviva etc.
  • Able to provide training to other members of the IFA team
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and take on ad hoc tasks as and when required
  • Excellent communication skills including listening, verbal and written
  • Ability to interact with colleagues and other stakeholders politely and courteously
  • Excellent customer care
