Job description
A highly regarded, independent financial planning firm operating at the upper end of the market is looking to appoint an ambitious Independent Financial Adviser to join its Birmingham office.
This role is ideal for an adviser who is motivated by new business development, networking, and long-term career progression, rather than purely servicing an existing client book.
The firm works with high-value clients, typically advising families with £1.6m+ in assets (minimum £500k). You'll be supported by a strong in-house team of Paraplanners and Administrators, allowing you to focus on advice, relationships, and growth.
The Role
- Focus on business development and networking to build a long-term client base
- Develop relationships with professional introducers and centres of influence
- Deliver holistic financial planning to high-net-worth clients
- Work closely with experienced Paraplanners and administrators
- Operate within a fully independent advice model
- Hybrid working from the Birmingham office
This is not a servicing-only role. The firm is specifically looking for advisers with the drive and confidence to build something meaningful.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified Financial Adviser (Level 4 Diploma or equivalent)
- Strong new business mindset with a proactive approach to networking
- Comfortable working with mid-to-high net worth clients
- Ambitious, commercially aware, and relationship-driven
- Keen to grow within a boutique, high-quality advice environment
Remuneration & Progression
- Basic salary up to £75,000 (depending on experience)
- Transparent revenue-based earnings model
- Initial salary aligned to c.25% of revenue
- Total package rising to c.33% of revenue once validated
- Long-term equity (EMI) opportunity available for the right individual
