Join this well respected Insurer in New York as an Inland Marine Underwriter, be offered a base salary up to $150,000 plus 25% target bonus as well as a $1mil - $1.5million GWP book to inherit and continue to grow.

This firm's current book composition is currently around 45% Construction/Builders Risk, 30% Motor Truck Cargo/Transportation and 25% miscellaneous, specifically working with national retail Brokers.

This is where you come in

An opportunity to help grow the portfolio in all areas via your strong broker distribution across the North East, your desire to produce profitable new business (target loss ratio of 45%) and ability to provide sound technical advice and knowledge

Not only will you have senior individuals to work closely with and learn from, you'll be offered more responsibility and authority over time and of course, pay rises to go along side that.

You'll have another key individual you'll be working alongside who will be producing in a different area of the North East, so you'll instantly have a "buddy" to work alongside and collaborate with.

On top of a base salary up to $150k, you'll receive a generous 401k, dental and health cover as well as a 25% target bonus. The company have paid out a good level of bonus every year for the past decade!

In addition to this, you'll have leadership development programs you can go on, fitness and wellness incentives and be part of a team and business who enjoy frequent team events and social gatherings!

You'll operate well in a hybrid set up, 3 days at home and 2 in the office.

You'll have a background Underwriting Inland Marine business, whether that's across construction, floaters or motor truck cargo.

An expectation would be to meet annual company goals for profitability, renewal retention, revenue growth, new business production and customer service standards as well as evaluate risk acceptability within established guidelines and set appropriate rates and factor levels
