What You'll Be Doing:
Step into a role that gives you genuine responsibility and the chance to make your mark. You'll:
- Build strong client relationships and be their trusted advisor
- Manage your own caseload with support on hand when you need it
- Prepare pleadings, submissions and confidently represent clients in court, tribunals and mediation's
- Develop negotiation strategies and deliver great outcomes for clients
- Get involved in business development and help raise the profile of the team and firm
- Work collaboratively with the firms other divisions
- Mentor and support junior team members and trainees
What You'll Bring:
- You're a problem-solver, a clear communicator and someone who enjoys getting to grips with complex issues.
- Have a minimum of 2 years PQE, in litigation (flexible for the right person)
- Experience in one or more of: Insolvency, Commercial or Residential Landlord & Tenant, Debt Recovery, Commercial Disputes, Contentious Executries, Employment Litigation
- Confidence working with a variety of commercial and civil clients
- Strong knowledge of Sheriff Court and Court of Session experiences
- Advocacy experience - proofs, debates, motions, contentious hearings, mediation's
- Excellent drafting skills and the ability to deliver clear, practical advice
- A proactive mindset and enjoyment of both independent work and team collaboration
