Paraplanner

Job description

My client is currently looking for a Paraplanner to join their team in Manchester.

Main Duties

  • Assist in creating financial planning solutions based on client objectives
  • Prepare suitability letters in line with agreed recommendations
  • Complete client review work within the required timescales
  • Analyse client investment portfolios and prepare supporting documentation for client review meetings
  • Collaborate with advisers and support staff to ensure new business submitted and ongoing servicing levels meet with required standards
  • Collate, check and maintain client files in accordance with compliance requirements
  • Ensure that recommended contracts and investments are implemented as per advice provided
  • Contribute to investment research and attend fund manager and investment meetings as required
  • Attend technical knowledge seminars and investment meetings as required
  • Communicate professionally with clients as required
  • Other tasks as required to aid the smooth running of the business
  • Maintain an up to date and accurate CPD record

Skills Required

  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Ability to analyse data and statistics
  • Excellent IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with investments, pensions and protection products
  • Ability to conduct research for appropriate providers and investments
  • Good understanding of compliance issues
  • Good organisational and time management skills including being able to deal with a number of tasks at once and prioritise work accordingly.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and work in a team environment
  • Have a responsibility for good time keeping and be prepared to work beyond the standard office hours in certain situations where work is time critical
  • To be committed to the principle and ethos that the client always comes first
