Paraplanner

Job description

Idex Consulting are working with a large Glasgow Chartered IFA practice who are looking for a new Paraplanner.

You will be preparing personalised financial plans for clients including:

  • Investment of new monies
  • Review suitability of existing arrangements
  • Retirement income strategies
  • Defined benefit transfer advice
  • Tax and inheritance tax planning
  • Annual reviews

Using cash-flow planning tools to analyse client's position and using this as a base to formulate advice.
Whole of market research for suitable products including discretionary investment portfolios and investment funds.
Technical calculations such as chargeable gains on investment bonds, capital gains tax, pension carry forward and inheritance tax.

Submission of new business to providers/platforms work closely with:

  • Wealthtime (previously Novia)
  • Standard Life
  • P1 Platform
  • Royal London
  • Quilter
  • Prudential
  • M&G Wealth Platform
  • Scottish Widows
  • Maintaining compliant client files
  • Delegating work to paraplanning and admin team
  • Providing support and guidance to trainees, Paraplanners and Advisers to formulate advice
  • Peer checking Paraplanner reports and calculations
