About the Role


An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Paraplanner to join a dynamic and forward-thinking financial planning team in Birmingham. The successful candidate will provide high-quality technical and administrative support to Financial Planners, helping to deliver exceptional service and advice to clients.
This role plays a key part in ensuring clients receive comprehensive, compliant, and well-presented financial planning solutions. You'll also have the chance to be involved in client meetings, contribute to cash-flow planning, and support complex technical discussions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed and compliant suitability reports across a variety of advice areas, products, and investment solutions
  • Conduct technical research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial products, legislation, and market developments
  • Ensure all client files and Know Your Client (KYC) information are accurate and demonstrate suitability of advice
  • Collaborate closely with Financial Planners to deliver a seamless client experience and meet agreed timescales
  • Attend client meetings when required to assist with cash-flow modelling and technical discussions
  • Maintain compliance with FCA guidelines and company processes at all times


About You


To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (CII) or equivalent qualification (essential)
  • Strong technical understanding of financial planning principles and products
  • Proven experience in a Paraplanning role within a financial planning or wealth management environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly
  • Thorough knowledge of FCA COBS suitability requirements
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
