Pensions Technical Assurance Manager

About the role:
Pensions Technical Assurance Manager will be responsible within Customer Services for the horizon scanning for changes in legislation and regulation working alongside Customer Service Senior Management Team to ensure that pension procedures and processes remain compliant through ongoing review and refresh. A key focus will be the technical development of colleagues enabling the company to build (and maintain) a strong base of pensions knowledge and technical skills. You will also work closely with the Pensions and Annuity Operations Manager to understand training needs and deliver technical training to the Pensions and Annuity area.

Responsibilities:

  • Support change projects (regulatory, legislative, continuous improvement etc.) where Pensions technical knowledge/input is required ensuring that the needs of the company,
  • Work closely with the Pensions and Annuity Operations Manager identify areas improvement and address through changes to processes, procedures, and training.
  • Horizon scan for legislative and regulatory changes that might impact on the Pensions and Annuities area.
  • Regular review of process and procedures to ensure compliance and in the event of change (from regulatory, legislative, continuous improvement etc.) that they remain compliant.
  • Ensure that HMRC, tPR and FCA requirements relating to Pensions are understood and consistently applied across all processes and products.



Essential:

  • Senior management experience in a Pension's Customer Service environment.
  • Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to interact, influence and manage internal & external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Technical knowledge of DC pensions, DC pension products (current and legacy), and the DC pension life cycle (procedures, processes and administrative systems).
  • Evidence of experience in the review, assessment, and implementation of legislative and regulatory change.
  • Knowledge of pensions legislation and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of financial services industry, distribution, advisory businesses, and processes.

Desirable:

  • Pensions qualifications will be considered an asset.
  • Good market awareness

Salary:
£50,0000 - £60,0000 + Benefits
