Planning Partner

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious Planning Partner to join a leading national law firm in their Manchester office. This is a fantastic chance for a talented individual to play a pivotal role in growing and developing a dynamic planning practice. You will have genuine autonomy and investment at this senior level to grow the offering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a wide range of planning matters including, infrastructure consents, highways and rights of way and compulsory purchase work
  • Provide strategic advice to clients across a variety of sectors
  • Build and nurture long-lasting client relationships, with a focus on delivering high-quality service and results
  • Contribute to the growth and expansion of the team, identifying new business opportunities and fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Mentor and manage a team of Junior Lawyers, ensuring high standards of technical expertise and client service
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across different practice areas to deliver integrated, innovative solutions for clients

The Ideal Candidate will:

  • Have proven experience and a strong network from the planning law arena, with a strong track record of handling complex matters
  • Excellent technical knowledge and expertise in all aspects of planning law
  • Strong leadership, management and business development skills
  • A proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships and generating new business opportunities
  • A proactive, client-focused approach with a drive to succeed
