Job description
Overview:
A fast-growing, independent insurance brokerage is seeking an Account Executive to join its expanding Real Estate division. The firm specialises in commercial and residential property risk, offering technical expertise, high-touch service and a genuinely client-first approach. The role is ideal for someone who wants both autonomy and meaningful impact within a boutique, entrepreneurial environment.
About the Business
This is a privately owned, fiercely independent brokerage built on long-term relationship management and clear, practical insurance advice. The company has grown steadily by focusing on specialist sectors and delivering genuinely bespoke solutions rather than volume-driven broking.
The Business Owner:
The firm is led by a highly experienced insurance professional with a long track record in commercial and private-client risk. Their background includes senior roles within both large national brokers and specialist advisory firms, giving them deep technical insight combined with a modern, agile approach to service. Known for being hands-on, approachable and commercially sharp, the owner places huge value on integrity, transparency and long-term client partnerships.
The Culture:
Collaborative, non-hierarchical, and supportive - everyone works together to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Entrepreneurial and progressive - ideas are encouraged, bureaucracy is low, and good performance is recognised quickly.
Client-centric - the firm prioritises quality over quantity, strong advice over quick wins, and long-term relationships over short-term gain.
Trusted, stable and personable - a place where people enjoy coming to work, feel valued, and have direct access to senior leadership.
Professional but down-to-earth - the team balances strong technical expertise with a friendly, pragmatic attitude.
Role Summary
This position focuses on expanding the company's presence within the real-estate market by developing new relationships with property owners, landlords, asset managers, developers and portfolio operators. You'll manage your own pipeline, craft tailored insurance solutions and work closely with broking, servicing and claims colleagues.

Collaborate internally to ensure exceptional onboarding, servicing and claims support for new clients.
Work within FCA regulatory expectations and internal compliance processes.
Skills & Experience Required
Experience in commercial insurance broking or account management, ideally with real-estate exposure.
Strong new-business development capabilities and a track record of generating leads and closing deals.

Confident communicator with excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
Energetic, proactive and self-directed - comfortable working autonomously within a supportive boutique environment.
