Regulatory Advisory, WAM Senior Consultant

The opportunity
You will have the opportunity to work with high-growth clients and other market leaders across the Wealth and Asset Management industry. Joining this growing team will enable you to work on a range of projects which will help you broaden your skills and learn from high performing professionals in your field.

Your key responsibilities

  • You will help deliver projects supporting the full project life-cycle including creation of any final deliverable
  • Help maintain a strong client focus by effectively serving client needs and developing productive working relationships with client personnel. Stay abreast of current business and regulatory trends
  • Work effectively as a team member sharing responsibility, providing support, and updating senior team members on progress
  • Build strong internal relationships across WAM Consulting Sector, which is a team of approximately 90 people
  • Continually develop personal, technical and core consulting skills



Skills and attributes for success

  • Ideally, you will have had project management experience, ideally relating to risk management projects
  • The ability to build relationships with colleagues across the business, supporting them and promoting a collaborative culture
  • A confident manner with good communication skills, with both technical knowledge and commercial understanding
  • Understanding of the Asset Management value chain, in particular the risk and compliance function



To qualify for the role you must have

  • Strong understanding of the investment management industry:
    • Front Office - Investment process, portfolio management and broking
    • Middle Office - Distribution, client reporting and performance analytics
    • Back Office - Investment accounting, Clearing and settlement and Corporate actions
  • Solid understanding of regulatory agenda and technical knowledge of regulatory matters affecting financial services
  • Experience within an investment/asset management company or through serving relevant clients via a professional services firm
  • Project management experience relating to transformation projects in investment management firms
  • Confident and credible communicator who displays both technical knowledge and commercial understanding
  • Excellent core consulting skills

  • Great communication skills
  • The ability to work with a variety of stakeholders at all levels
  • A real desire to work as part of a team
  • Experience in one or more regulatory implementation
  • Experience of risk assessment, mitigation and remediation
