Regulatory Change Senior Manager

About the Company:
Our Financial Services Organisation client is a unique, industry-focused practice, and their Transformation Execution Wholesale Banking Capital Markets consulting team is an integral part of their offering. With strong functional capabilities and a wide range of knowledge, their clients - typically top tier investment banks, market infrastructure providers and regulators - look to them for advice they can rely on every time.
Our client is looking for managers with strong delivery track record across Capital Markets and Wholesale Banking, to help their clients with their most pressing issues:
1. Implementation of end-to-end transformation of business processes and controls
2. Design of target business operating models
3. Implementation of regulatory change

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with clients, and assisting other senior management in leading engagement teams providing valuable insights and advice to support clients to make strategic and operational decisions
  • Delivering of large-scale projects by managing the project team, assessing engagement risk, driving conclusions, and reviewing outputs produced
  • Driving innovation by creating an environment that encourages innovation, and implementing new and improved ways of working, delivery models and/or technological advancements
  • Managing and developing strong internal and external long-term relationships and existing accounts
  • Undertaking practice development activities including contributing to thought leadership pieces, running industry events, delivering training or managing team communication
  • Training, monitoring, counselling and supervising junior staff members
  • Providing quality assurance and monitoring risks, managing assignment teams and third parties, liaising with service line teams, functional specialists and Area Partners
  • Supporting a go-to-market and solution effort by leading proposal and bid teams in delivery of high-quality proposals
  • Contributing to business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new / existing clients, and co-leading proposals and bid teams and managing the development and delivery of high-quality proposals with senior management

You must have:

  • Experience in a managerial role within a consulting and transformation role in financial services (Capital Market and Wholesale Banking), or a transformation role in industry, focusing on the following topics:
    • Change transformation
    • Post-trade operations
    • Process re-engineering and digitisation in capital markets
    • Client life-cycle management
    • Controls optimisation
    • End-to-end Project Management
  • Experience in leading and assisting in delivery of regulatory change programmes in Capital Market and Wholesale banking, for example:
    • Front office controls
    • Regulatory change e.g. MIFID, IBOR, RAF, CSDR, BREXIT
    • Client life-cycle management
  • Demonstrable experience of managing and supporting change gained from:
    • Hands-on consulting and managerial experience at a Big 4, or top tier consulting firm within Financial Services
    • Change functions / programmes at a Financial Services organisation
    • Managing change through Line function at a Financial Services organisation
