The role will entail assessing the desirability of risks through analysis of financial reports and accounts, regular contact with Brokers, thorough review of proposals and reviewing of claims history and general company information. Alongside this the role will involve providing excellent service to Brokers and generating new business by expanding the Broker network and attending Broker events. As senior member of the team, the Senior Underwriter will take ownership for key outcomes and take responsibility for a higher portion of the new business target than the Underwriters.

It is essential that prospective candidates have proven underwriting/ broking experience in Commercial D&O, though applicants will be considered from a wider Financial Lines background. Networking skills and a strong work ethic are sought along with the ability to talk comfortably to CFOs, CEOs and Legal Counsel.
