Trainee Client Support Administrator

Job description

A new opportunity for an Client Support Administrator to join a IFA Practice in Edinburgh City Centre.

Initial Responsibilities:

  • Making client Appointments
  • Opening and franking mail, scanning all relevant documentation to client file and updating back office system
  • Typing up of the Client Factfinds
  • Ensure client data is accurate and up to date on the back office system
  • Dealing with clients and providers over the telephone and email
  • Ensuring client files are compliant with FCA and Company guidelines
  • Preparation of correspondence including general letters and emails
  • General administrative duties such as photocopying and filing

Further Responsibilities After Training:

  • Sending out Letters of Authority to life companies and chase up accordingly
  • Issuing policy documentation
  • Processing withdrawal and surrender requests and chase up accordingly
  • Obtaining values for client reviews and preparing valuation reports
  • Delivering research when requested
  • Processing and chasing of new business, both paper based and online
  • Process fund switches and rebalances
  • Preparing incremental monies and rebalance reports from templates


  • The successful candidate will have at least one year's relevant experience within Financial Services
  • Experienced using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer is essential
  • Experience of Intelligent Office desirable but not essential
  • Experience of using Platforms and Provider websites desirable but not essential
