Trainee Insurance Risk Control Surveyor

We are delighted to be working on this exclusive opportunity with a leading insurer looking to attract qualified insurance candidates who would like to move into a Risk Control Surveyor position. You can be based anywhere within the UK and the position is homebased with travel to their local office and attending surveys with a senior colleague.
Candidates will only be considered if you have previous insurance experience or Health and Safety Surveying with UK clients.

These have been released due to further expansion and adding to their expertise following phenomenal growth over the past two years. Once you are qualified - normally takes between 12-18 months you will then be allocated clients within a close radius to your home patch, maximum 2 hour travelling time and will be employed on a home based contract. Working closely with the survey support team you will be allocated on average 6 visits per week and these will be a mix of desk based and external visits. They place a huge importance on flexibility, so you can manage your work and home life with ease with the team and select admin days etc. to suit.

Working closely with the regional underwriting team for your area, you will focus on the underwriting strategies in delivering a range of client and prospect survey reports (Pre Cover, New Business, Sprinkler and Post Loss). They seek an experienced surveyor to compliment the UK team. This will include knowledge of the key factors influencing Business Interruption, current Health & Safety legislation and knowledge of Employers Liability, Public and Product Liability risk exposures. General understanding of commercial insurance underwriting process and procedure.

It will be a two stage interview over teams with their operational head and technical manager. Full guidance on interview preparation will be provided.
