Trusts and Tax Solicitor (Associate or Senior Associate)

A rare opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Trusts and Tax Solicitor (2-7 years PQE) to join a nationally recognised Trusts and Tax team based in the East Midlands (Nottingham or Leicester). You'll be joining a high-performing, multi-disciplinary Private Client team that advises a broad client base, including trustees, families, and vulnerable beneficiaries on complex estate, trust and tax matters.

This is a standout opportunity to work under the guidance of respected experts in both law and tax, allowing you to grow your technical skillset in a dynamic, supportive environment.

You'll work closely with top quality Tax and Trusts Solicitors and Partners, as well as a Chartered Tax Advisor, where you will be involved in; assisting in the setup and administration of Trusts, including those for vulnerable individuals, trust registration with HMRC's Trust Registration Service (TRS), Preparation of income tax returns for individuals, trustees, and estates, Preparation of Capital Gains Tax returns and supporting on wider estate planning and tax compliance tasks. This is very much a client facing position, where you will receive excellent opportunities for career development and technical training.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Qualified Solicitor (ideally between 2 - 7 years PQE) with experience in Private Client Law, specifically having some experience or interest in Trusts or Tax Law
  • Somewhat experienced with tax compliance and trust registration processes (TRS, CGT, IHT, income tax)
  • Possessing excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A proactive, self-starting attitude with a collaborative mindset
