Account Handler - Financial Institutions
Location: London
Salary: £40,000 - £70,000 (depending on experience) + benefits

A dynamic Lloyd's insurance broker is seeking an experienced Account Handler to join its Financial Institutions division. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with senior brokers and contribute to the placement and servicing of complex FI risks.


Role Overview


As an Account Handler in the FI team, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional client service and technical support across the full policy lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining accurate internal records and ensuring compliance with regulatory procedures
  • Collaborating with the Head of FI to place client policies
  • Providing technical expertise throughout the quote and placement process
  • Preparing policy documentation efficiently and ahead of inception
  • Assisting the Processing team with queries to ensure smooth entry handling
  • Managing placing enquiries and liaising with clients and insurers
  • Drafting endorsements and quote packs as needed
  • Issuing Evidence of Coverage documents
  • Monitoring and enhancing client service delivery
  • Supporting senior account handlers, brokers, and clients post-placement


What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in Financial Institutions insurance (ideally gained at a brokerage, but candidates from an underwriting background may also be considered)
  • Good market connections
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Progress toward ACII qualification (preferred)
