Business Development Executive (Broking)

Job description

'Running all new business strategy for the full Scottish region'

'Working as part of the regional leadership with your own clout for decision making'

'Inheriting a healthy corporate pipeline of business worth around £750k income'

These are all aspects of this Corporate Development Executive position which has been released by a major broking group.

Here you will play the lead role within the new business function which exists to drive new business and manage pipeline activity for corporate level clients.

The firm are regarded as one of the top players within the corporate space and this comes down to two things..

  • 1 - A completely client focussed, and solutions led approach to business
  • 2 - Being large enough to cope, but without any clunkiness of a traditional national broker

From day one here, you'll pick up a substantial pipeline of prospect clients, all typically paying premiums of between £100k and £1m p/a.

Client appetite here is extremely diverse so you'll be working with business such as food & drink manufacturers, real estate, distribution, tech, renewables, engineering, retail and financial services.

With huge technical support from broking, placement, RM an EB teams, you'll be the conduit to move these prospects into clients using your flair for relationship management and sales.

And you'll be doing this in a business whose success comes from not having a fixed placement strategy or unnecessary levels of decision making.

Your day to day will see you meeting prospects, closing deals and influencing the strategic direction of how new business is conducted across the Scottish region.

You'll receive a salary of up to £82,500 plus a dual bonus arrangement taking your annual earnings well into six figures.

You can be based anywhere in Scotland, but a pre-requisite is a background in the insurance broking market within a client facing sales role either within SME, Mid-Market or corporate.

The application process involves an informal chat with IDEX before any formal interviews take place and don't worry if you don't have a CV, I can help you with that if required.
