Job description
We are partnered with a well-established UK MGA, who are looking for a Claims Manager to join their business based in Southeast England.
The main purpose of the role is to manage the TPA relationships on behalf of the company, and to liaise with capacity providers to ensure they have a 'seat at the table' when it comes to their claims.
Responsibilities;
- Regular reporting to the underwriting team and management on the development of the claims portfolio, including any trends on loss type, coverage issues and regulatory considerations.
- Hands on involvement ensuring that they have full working knowledge on individual claims which meet certain criteria (size, class of business) and working with TPAs and capacity providers to ensure best outcomes for all parties to the claim.
- Handling contentious claims, drafting repudiation letters to policy holders, where appropriate and handling any related complaints.
- Assisting the inhouse Tech Team in the development of claims Tech solutions, for the purpose of efficiency gains and improving the claims journey for capacity, TPAs, brokers and policyholders.
The successful candidate will have a strong technical knowledge, especially in property owners; experience of working with TPAs and delegated claims handling arrangements; and strong reporting skills. You will also need to demonstrate good relationship-building and communication skills.
