If you're an Underwriter stuck in a place where it takes three approvals and a committee meeting to change a sentence in a quote - you probably don't need me to tell you how draining that is.

What you'll be doing

  • Shaping and delivering a P&C proposition that's built on market reality, not corporate PowerPoint.

  • Building strong broker relationships - the kind where people take your calls because you add value, not because you chase them.

  • Spotting underserved segments and creating propositions that help you win market share.

  • Underwriting new and renewal business in line with the strategy - accurately, efficiently, and without a ton of red tape.

  • Keeping documentation tight and terms accurate.



What they're looking for

  • A solid track record writing mid-market P&C risks (£10k+ GWP).

  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills - people who can win trust and handle pushback.

  • Analytical, curious, and creative thinkers who don't just tick boxes.

  • Someone confident enough to challenge, flexible enough to adapt, and resilient enough to thrive in a fast-moving setup.
