My client has a growing pipeline of potential acquisitions at various stages of the acquisition process. As a member of the Risk & Compliance Team, you will be responsible for leading regulatory due diligence on acquisition targets, in order to ensure full visibility of risks and issues which are material to potential acquisitions. You will perform detailed regulatory due diligence on multiple targets across the retail insurance market and occasionally wholesale insurance targets, making recommendations for resolution pre acquisition and working with the Group Risk and Compliance Director to ensure that risks are within appetite upon completion, or have an agreed time-frame and resource identified for resolution.

Main duties & Accountabilities

• You will be responsible for providing updates and proposals in relation to ongoing targets in due diligence
• Ownership of the regulatory DD framework. Responsible for the quality and robustness of its coverage
• Personally conduct appropriate regulatory DD on targets and make recommendations for the scope and time required to perform the same based on the complexity/risk posed by the acquisition. Propose appropriate actions for mitigation where required
• Attendee at the various acquisition programme meetings including preparation and presentation of the current state of regulatory DD on multiple targets
