As an Insurance Account Executive, you will be responsible for managing and nurturing a diverse portfolio of construction clients. Your key duties will include:

  • Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with construction clients, understanding their unique insurance needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Portfolio Oversight: Manage a client book worth approximately £300k, handling premiums ranging from £2k to £25k and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments for construction projects, advising clients on appropriate insurance coverage and risk management strategies.
  • Policy Development: Work closely with clients to develop comprehensive insurance policies, ensuring adequate coverage and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends and market developments to offer informed advice to clients and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions with insurance underwriters to secure the best possible coverage options for clients.


  • Insurance Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the insurance industry, specifically with construction clients.
  • Client-Focused: Strong client management skills with the ability to understand and address client needs effectively.
  • Confidence: Confidence in managing a substantial client book and handling premiums ranging from £2k to £25k.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess risks and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.
  • Negotiation Skills: Proven negotiation skills to secure competitive terms with insurance underwriters.
