IDEX Consulting are working with a highly regarded regional law firm who are looking to appoint a Conveyancing Legal Assistant to join their growing Residential Property team in Chorley.
This is a great opportunity to become part of a friendly and supportive team, assisting experienced Conveyancers with a varied caseload of residential property transactions. The role offers hands-on experience and clear scope to progress within the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day support to the Conveyancer on all aspects of residential conveyancing from instruction through to post-completion
- Draft and prepare legal documents, letters, and forms with accuracy and attention to detail
- Liaise professionally with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other third parties
- Carry out searches, prepare contract packs, and assist with Land Registry, SDLT, and AML processes
- Open, maintain, and close client files in line with compliance and quality standards
- Deliver excellent client service and maintain strong working relationships across the team
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or Administrator within residential conveyancing is essential
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with excellent attention to detail
- Confident using case management systems and Microsoft Office
- A team player with a proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities
