Corporate Associate

Job description

A superb opportunity for a corporate lawyer to join a U.S. law firm in the City of London.

Locke Lord is an AM Law 100 U.S. firm with 18 U.S. offices as well as those in London and Brussels. Its clients range from public and private companies to start-ups and emerging businesses. Locke Lord has received numerous industry recognitions and has a rich history dating back to the 19th Century, but also has a demonstrable progressive and modern culture.

This role is for a Corporate lawyer with solid training and experience with Mergers & Acquisitions and preferably some Equity Capital Markets experience looking to further develop their career.

The Corporate team undertake a wide range of mid-market M&A and ECM transactions, often of a cross-border nature. Whilst a mix of ECM and M&A experience would be ideal, any gaps in your knowledge will be identified and addressed once you join, in particular as the role is very hands-on.

You will work directly with partners in a small dynamic group. The firm culture is probably more akin to a UK City firm than a New York firm.

Locke Lord is looking for a technically strong candidate who enjoys client interaction and will be prepared to take responsibility on deals from the outset.

The ideal candidate is likely to have:

  • Excellent academics and City training

  • Upwards of 4 years' PQE

  • Experience of general M&A and ECM transactions
