You would like to still actively underwrite and lead from the front, however you are keen for a bigger challenge, more responsibility and an opportunity to become a senior, integral part of an expanding Insurance business

IDEX are partnered with one of the most exciting MGAs across Europe, specifically Brussels, Belgium as they are looking to make a senior appointment due to succession planning

Joining initially as Deputy Underwriting Manager, you will take over the Accident & Health team of 8 individuals, whilst building markets and distribution within a separate line of business. This could be renewable energy, Marine, Construction, Property & Casualty for example, no matter your background you will be supported with distribution

You will join initially as Deputy Manager with view to stepping into General Underwriting Manager over the coming months.

Your new company:

You will be heading up the team for an expanding, exciting MGA who are well known for underwriting a niche portfolio of insurance classes across the world. Trading less than a decade, they already have a number of offices across Europe, and they are continuing to grow through talent attraction and high business performance.

What you have to offer:

First and foremost, you'll be ambitious, entrepreneurial and keen to build a new market. Management experience isn't essential, as long as you have a track record of being a Senior Underwriter within your current MGA/Insurer. This is your ideal next step.

Based in Belgium, you will ideally speak French and Flemish and have a track record of delivering underwriting results across your market. You will have a history of underwriting risks within the commercial insurance market. You will enjoy the balance of leading, coaching and supporting your team, but be entrepreneurial in your approach to build a new vertical/line of business.

Accident and Health Underwriting experience is not essential.

The package:

As a Deputy Underwriting Manager, you will be rewarded with a compensation salary up to €200,000 which possibly may include a long term incentive / bonus deal (Dependent upon the person).
