The role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Family Associate (minimum 3 years' PQE) to join the Liverpool office. This is an excellent opportunity to handle a varied caseload of interesting and complex family matters, while working within a dynamic and supportive team.


Key responsibilities

  • Managing a varied caseload of family law matters
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, delivering a first-class service
  • Supporting business development and marketing initiatives to grow the department
  • Supervising and mentoring junior colleagues to contribute to a positive team culture
  • Ensuring effective financial management, including time recording, billing and achieving chargeable hours
  • Staying up to date with changes in family law and meeting CPD requirements

Key skills & experience

  • Qualified Solicitor with at least 3 years' PQE in family law
  • Experience in:
    • Divorce and financial remedy, including high-net-worth cases
    • Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
    • Privately funded children work
  • Strong knowledge of family law principles and court procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage sensitive issues
  • Proven ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
  • Commercial awareness with a track record of involvement in business development
