Farm Underwriter - Home Based

Job description

The UK agricultural insurance market has no shortage of people who can process a farm submission. It has a shortage of underwriters who actually understand what they're looking at.
If you're one of the people who does - this is worth two minutes of your time.

Is this you?

You've built your career underwriting farm and agricultural risks - farm combined, livestock, agricultural liability, rural commercial - or you've worked within a delegated underwriting authority (DAU) environment handling agricultural business.

You're UK based, you know your way around a complex farm submission, and you're good at what you do.
What you might be less sure about is whether your current role is giving you enough room to actually use that expertise.

What's the opportunity?

A growing, FCA-authorised MGA is building a broker-introduced agricultural book and needs an experienced underwriter to be central to that.

You'd be underwriting real, varied broker-introduced farm risks - making decisions, owning relationships, and contributing to how the proposition develops. Not processing. Not box-ticking.
Home based, with the autonomy that comes with working for a business that trusts its people to get on with it.

What's in it for you?

  • Up to £60,000 depending on experience
  • Home based with genuine flexibility
  • A genuine say in how the book develops - you're joining early, not inheriting someone else's way of doing things
  • Broker relationships that matter - this is a business built on broker distribution, not direct volume

Sound familiar?

If your background is in farm or agricultural underwriting, or DAU-based agri business, and you're based anywhere in the UK - I'd be glad to have a confidential conversation about whether this fits where you want to go next.
