Are you a qualified lawyer with a passion for international trade and a desire to work on complex, high-profile transactions? We are seeking a talented and ambitious Trade Finance Associate (2-7 PQE) to join our thriving team in London.

We advise a global clientele of banks, corporates, and other financial institutions on a wide range of trade and export finance matters. Our team is known for its exceptional client service, innovative solutions, and deep understanding of the ever-evolving trade finance landscape.
What You Will Do
Assist partners and senior associates on a variety of trade finance transactions, including letters of credit, documentary collections, standby letters of credit, and trade finance facilities
Draft and negotiate key transaction documents, such as credit agreements, security documents, and trade finance documentation
Conduct legal due diligence and research complex legal and regulatory issues
Manage client relationships and ensure exceptional communication at all stages of a transaction
Stay current on the latest developments in trade finance law and practice, including International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) rules
Contribute to the development of internal training materials and knowledge sharing initiatives
What You Bring
2-7 years of PQE with experience in trade finance law (ideally gained at a leading City or international law firm)
A strong academic background in law
A keen understanding of international trade finance principles and practices (including knowledge of ICC rules a plus)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
A proactive and results-oriented approach
