Are you a qualified lawyer with a passion for international trade and a desire to work on complex, high-profile transactions? We are seeking a talented and ambitious Trade Finance Associate (2-7 PQE) to join our thriving team in London.

Our team is known for its exceptional client service, innovative solutions, and deep understanding of the ever-evolving trade finance landscape.


What You Will Do

  • Assist partners and senior associates on a variety of trade finance transactions, including letters of credit, documentary collections, standby letters of credit, and trade finance facilities

  • Draft and negotiate key transaction documents, such as credit agreements, security documents, and trade finance documentation

  • Conduct legal due diligence and research complex legal and regulatory issues

  • Manage client relationships and ensure exceptional communication at all stages of a transaction

  • Stay current on the latest developments in trade finance law and practice, including International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) rules

  • Contribute to the development of internal training materials and knowledge sharing initiatives

What You Bring

  • 2-7 years of PQE with experience in trade finance law (ideally gained at a leading City or international law firm)

  • A strong academic background in law

  • A keen understanding of international trade finance principles and practices (including knowledge of ICC rules a plus)

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently

  • A proactive and results-oriented approach
