An established and fast-growing MGA is seeking a Head of Property & Casualty to lead and develop its property underwriting portfolio as part of an ambitious growth strategy.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this senior leadership role offers significant autonomy and influence over underwriting strategy, broker engagement, and portfolio performance. You will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the business while driving profitable growth within a delegated authority environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the property underwriting function, ensuring profitable portfolio performance aligned to risk appetite and strategy
  • Build and strengthen senior broker relationships to drive sustainable growth and retention
  • Oversee underwriting governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on strategy, product development, and long-term planning
  • Identify and develop new scheme and growth opportunities
  • Drive cross-sell initiatives across the wider product suite
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing underwriting team

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in property underwriting, including senior portfolio or leadership roles
  • Proven track record of delivering profitable growth within an MGA or delegated authority environment
  • Strong broker network and market presence
  • Excellent commercial, analytical, and leadership skills
  • Experience working closely with Compliance and governance teams
