Job description
A leading national law firm is seeking an ambitious Associate or Senior Associate (2-6 PQE) to join its market-leading Leveraged Finance practice in London.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly regarded, nationally integrated leveraged finance team that operates as one. The successful candidate will play a key role in further developing the London offering, while benefiting from the structure, depth, and support of an established national platform.
The Role
The work is high quality, varied and intellectually stimulating, with a strong focus on:
- Leveraged finance and corporate lending
- Sponsor-led and corporate transactions
- Growth lending and venture debt
- Cross-border and international transactions
You will work across the full transaction lifecycle, including:
- Drafting and negotiating facilities agreements and security documents (LMA and non-LMA)
- Negotiating intercreditor arrangements
- Drafting and maintaining standard form precedents
- Advising on "in-life" matters including waivers, resets, restatements and bolt-on transactions
- Collaborating closely with corporate and restructuring teams
The team works with many of the UK's major banks and financial institutions (including approved panel relationships), as well as leading private equity sponsors. Associates are exposed to both borrower and lender-side work, providing excellent all-round training and commercial insight.
With a strong and consistent deal flow, this role offers a genuine opportunity to take on matter responsibility, deepen client relationships and contribute to client development initiatives.
The Team & Culture
The London office is dynamic, entrepreneurial and growing, offering an excellent platform for an ambitious lawyer who wants to help shape a practice while progressing their own career.
The firm is known for its collaborative culture, focus on excellence and commitment to innovation. People are encouraged to be themselves, work flexibly and develop in a supportive, high-performing environment.
What's on Offer
- High-quality, varied leveraged finance work
- Clear progression and development opportunities
- Competitive remuneration
- Comprehensive and flexible benefits package
