New Business Placing Broker

Job description

Not everyone in broking wants to deal with clients, would you agree?

In your career in broking so far, you may have come to the conclusion that you actually prefer working with your panel of insurers rather than right at the sharp end of client work.

Facing into the market gives you a great sense of satisfaction given the scope you have to build effective relationships with underwriting contacts and your sales skills are sharpened daily given your remit for negotiating effective placement of cases.

This newly created role within one of Scotland's largest independent brokerages will see you operating squarely in a placement role, working with their panel of insurers and MGAs.

Here you'll take new business cases brought in by the Executive team and broke these into the market.

Day to day you'll be placing new business cases, negotiating pricing, cutting deals and working closely with your Executives to provide a prompt service.

And as you'll be market facing, you'll have scope to work more strategically with your insurer contacts; getting involved in overall strategic relationship management and working with the Board to devise and implement strategy for new provider relationships.

This would represent a brilliant career step if you are already in broking or underwriting and have a natural flair for negotiation and enjoy building effective panel relationships.

Hybrid working is available and ideally, you'll be based in Central Scotland for this one.

Salary to £38,000 plus benefits.
