Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen with a rapidly expanding wealth management group undergoing significant growth through strategic acquisitions. The business combines the energy of a modern, fast-scaling organisation with the stability of private equity backing.
We are seeking an experienced Paraplanning Manager to lead, support, and develop a high-performing team of around 13 paraplanners, based across multiple UK locations. This role is central to ensuring the delivery of high-quality technical support to advisers and clients, while helping guide the team through an evolving landscape shaped by continued M&A activity.
This is a hybrid position, with 3 days per week in the Bristol office and 2 days working from home.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
Team Leadership & Development
- Managing, mentoring, and developing a geographically dispersed paraplanning team
- Conducting performance reviews and driving continuous improvement
- Promoting a positive, supportive, and resilient team culture
Workload & Quality Management
- Managing workflow and task allocation
- Prioritising workloads effectively to meet internal SLAs
- Ensuring high-quality output with first-line checks and FCA-aligned compliance standards
Technical Expertise
- Acting as a technical escalation point for complex queries
- Supporting research, analysis, and report preparation where required
Process & Efficiency Improvements
- Identifying opportunities to streamline operations
- Enhancing systems, processes, and client service delivery
Collaboration
- Working closely with advisers and senior management
- Supporting the team through periods of organisational change
Skills & Experience
- Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (essential)
- Proven line management experience within paraplanning (essential)
- Strong understanding of financial planning, products, and FCA requirements
- Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills
- A leadership style grounded in integrity, empathy, resilience, and positive influence
