Senior Paraplanner

Job description

An established independent financial planning firm is looking for an experienced Senior Paraplanner to take on a key technical and mentoring role within their support team. This is a senior position for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys developing others and can add real value to workflows and client outcomes.



Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced technical support across pensions, investments, protection and wider financial planning solutions
  • Produce and review complex suitability reports and cashflow models
  • Support Advisers with research, pre-meeting preparation and recommendation structuring
  • Act as a technical reference point and mentor for Junior Paraplanners and Trainee Advisers
  • Oversee paraplanning workflows, including outsourced support where required
  • Ensure advice documentation meets internal and FCA compliance standards


Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years' experience in a paraplanning or senior technical role within an IFA environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, protection and UK taxation
  • Experience mentoring or supervising Paraplanners or junior staff
  • Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent)
  • Confident communicator with strong attention to detail
